"The Bucket List Family," Viral Travel Stars, Are Getting Their Own TV Show

Garrett Gee and The Bucket List Family can't stop, won't stop living the dream.

Who could forget one of the Internet's most viral stories of travel fantasies come to life? The Bucket List Family became a social media sensation after Garrett Gee, a young Utah husband and dad of two, sold his mobile-scanning app to Snapchat for a mere... $54 million. The Gee family then sold all their worldly possessions, including a $48,000 Land Rover, and set off in 2015 for what was supposed to be a six-month journey around the world... and then just kept going and going and going. (See the clip above, which the family made for Jet Set 16 months into their journey.)

Well now, the family has three young children... and a brand new project: a TV show

Traveling Home, a new interactive series featuring the family, will launch on July 1. The show will follow the family's journey to make their newly purchased house into a home, working with Home Love Network’s design experts, Andy and Candis Meredith (of HGTV’s Old Home Love) to create their dream space.

Over the course of eight weeks, The Bucket List Family will travel the world collecting inspo for their new beachfront Hawaiian bungalow. And every week, Andy and Candis will be back at the home renovating a new room, inspired by the family's adventures in each new place. At the end, the family will come back to see the space finished — for the very first time.

So no, The Bucket List Family isn't stopping their traveling lifestyle — no way. But they're still jazzed to have a place to call home. (And who wouldn't be when its a heavenly Hawaiian bungalow like theirs?!)
